Bonus pay 2018
Every company or employer must pay its workers who have one year or more of service, an amount in money called Bonus pay, which according to the law is according to the seniority of the worker and is applied as follows:

For those who have 1 year and less than 3 years of service. | 15 days of Salary |
For those who have 3 or more and less than 10 years working. | 19 days of Salary |
For those who have 10 years of service or more. | 21 days of Salary |
When the worker as of December 12 does not have the year of service, it must be paid proportionally. In addition, the bonus must be paid no later than the period between December 12 and 20 of each year.
The Asamblea Legislativa approved a decree so that bonuses for an amount not greater than two minimum monthly salaries of the Commerce and Services Sector, which is equivalent to $608.34, are exempt from the payment of Income Tax.
Finally, it should be noted that employees who in two months, whether consecutive or not, of the period between the previous December 12 and December 11 of the year in which it was to be paid, have had in each one of them, lose the right to the bonus. of said months, more than two unjustified absences from work, even if they were only for half a day.
